Garden Up - Urban Gardening & Living

Small Space,. Lots of Garden.

Wondering when will be your last day as a slave for watering your plants? Or is it the health of your plants you are worried about because you may be carelessly killing them with your uncontrolled watering habits? Therefore, creating a dripping irrigation for your raised bed would be the right solution to these problems.

If you want to be precise with the water supply for your plants then a dripping irrigation is what you need. In order to grow healthier and high quality plants, it is necessary that the amount of water and pressure you apply on your garden are well-regulated.

If you have a large garden outside your home, then there is no problem in using the old method of watering your plants with a soaker hose. However for a raised bed, using soaker hose can kill the plants with uncontrolled water flow.

In this video, one gardening enthusiast shows us the steps in creating your own dripping irrigation for your raised bed. Learn a lot from his experiments and the pitfalls that he’d ran into in maintaining a raised bed garden.

About

I started a little NYC company called Garden Up. We make TOWER GARDENS which use a drip-system of nutrient tea and water (not soil) to grow plants. The large unit grows over $1,200 worth of produce in one season, holds 72 plants and takes up less than four square feet of space. It’s all about moving away from supermarket produce and growing your own. Please visit us at www.GardenUpNow.com and let me know what you think. PS: I am a photographer as well so you will see some of my pictures!
