Garden Up - Urban Gardening & Living

Small Space,. Lots of Garden.

NYU Picks Concrete Housing over Public Garden

New York University has big West Village (NYC) expansion plans. This garden has been slated to be demolished and replaced by concrete towers. I truly applaud the groups of people fighting them but, like Columbia University in Harlem, I bet NYU wins. I, along with many others, do not want them to win. This garden is amazing. I passed by on a 100 degree day and it was thriving and cool.

About

I started a little NYC company called Garden Up. We make TOWER GARDENS which use a drip-system of nutrient tea and water (not soil) to grow plants. The large unit grows over $1,200 worth of produce in one season, holds 72 plants and takes up less than four square feet of space. It’s all about moving away from supermarket produce and growing your own. Please visit us at www.GardenUpNow.com and let me know what you think. PS: I am a photographer as well so you will see some of my pictures!
