Garden Up - Urban Gardening & Living

Small Space,. Lots of Garden.

A Burger King employee who had photographs of him taken whilst standing with both feet in batches of lettuce and posted on the internet with the caption “This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King,” has been fired.   The picture was posted on the 4Chan website, where people post and discuss pictures anonymously, however, he left the geo-location tags on his post which made it easy for him to be tracked down and fired. The Burger King in question was Mayfields heights branch in Cleveland, Ohio, a privately owned franchise.
The man in question was fired along with two other colleagues who colarboarted in the event. Burger King released a statement:“We are aware of the photo that was allegedly posted by an employee at a Burger King restaurant in Ohio and are taking the issue very seriously. Food safety is a top priority for Burger King Restaurants and the company has strict policies regarding its food handling procedures. We are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action as necessary.”

About

I started a little NYC company called Garden Up. We make TOWER GARDENS which use a drip-system of nutrient tea and water (not soil) to grow plants. The large unit grows over $1,200 worth of produce in one season, holds 72 plants and takes up less than four square feet of space. It’s all about moving away from supermarket produce and growing your own. Please visit us at www.GardenUpNow.com and let me know what you think. PS: I am a photographer as well so you will see some of my pictures!
