From Max Goldberg, a great blogger on organics
Hello friends!
Earlier this week, I went after the world-renowned Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute for claiming that “there is no scientific
evidence that organic food increases health benefits.”
Outraged that a leading cancer hospital could say something like
this, I called Dana-Farber’s statement “factually incorrect and
morally reprehensible.”
Under pressure, Dana-Farber retracted its erroneous statement about
organic food.
This whole episode got me thinking about how much pesticide-laden
food is promoted, subsidized, and encouraged in the U.S., and we’re
made to believe that poisonous pesticides are safe to consume.
It led me to write a post called “How Much Poison Should We
Feed Our Children Today?”
In this post, you’ll get a chilling look into how many aspects of
our society want us to consume food that contains dangerous
pesticides - something completely unacceptable to me.
